AsAsP Organizational Accreditation/Certification Program objectives are accomplished by detailed assessment of security work history, performance, management principles, and business practices as established by state and federal statutes.

The organizational or company AsAsP accreditation/certification program is divided into two major professional competencies:

(1)   Service related performance or complaints (Section 1).

(2)   Workforce qualification and satisfactory background check (Section 2).

Text Box: Accreditation Process: The organizational/company assessment process begins with an authorization.
Step 1, the security organization/company provides a copy or list of all complaints made against the organization/company, (i.e. labor related, service related, employee performance/conduct, business practices, etc.).
Step 2, AsAsP will evaluate the creditability of all complaints based on available information and the resolution decision. A number will be assigned to appropriate categories to generate a total score of less than ten annually in section 1 of the assessment requirement chart.  The security organization or company will be scored based on the number of employees to the ratio of complaints.  This score will be considered the performance and complaint quality service score.
Step 3, AsAsP will obtain a total number of security personnel that perform security type duties that are certified or trained to state standards, then the personnel list will be compared against a complete listing of all personnel that have a satisfactory background check.
Step4, AsAsP will evaluate the listing of employees and their accreditation status and assign a score based on the percentage of employees that are certified or trained to perform security related duties and the number of employees that have successfully undergone a local and or national background check in section 2 of the assessment requirement chart. This score will be considered the qualification and background check quality score.
Step 5,  AsAsP will sign documentation (certificate) attesting compliance with the minimum standard for AsAsP accreditation and forward final processing action to the organization or company.
